Square-Enix Working on Several New Franchises

RPG giant Square-Enix recently announced that they have several new franchises in the works and hope to release 2 to 3 new games in the next few years. Square-Enix President Yoichi Wada said the company has a few big titles in the works that he believes can be put on the same pedestal as its own Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy franchises.

Square-Enix aims to have eight different franchises in total, with all of them capable of selling millions of games. It is not known if these games will be the RPGs that Square-Enix is currently known for.

Wada also added that he expects Final Fantasy XIII to sell over six million copies worldwide when it comes out next year.
